Obsession…absolutely.
Lust,
then love…most definitely.
Just take one look at Cathy’s license plate and it says
it all… “OBZEZZD”
She is crazy about her 2003 Chrome Silver 350Z – Touring.
Her car has truly become her obsession. What started out as
a few small projects with her Z has turned into a mod obsession.
With a full spring and summer schedule of meets and shows,
Cathy is sure to be very busy with her TurboJet, or affectionately,
TJ!
Cathy
describes herself as “feminine, but with a touch of
testosterone.” Manicures are always scheduled after
a weekend of working on the Z! Getting her hands dirty is
not a problem for this Z Chick.
Her
love of cars started at an early age. Instead of Barbie dolls
or cute girly things laying around the house, there was a
collection of Matchbox cars and Tonka Trucks, along with all
of the accessories that went with them. Her first car was
a 1977 candy apple red Monte Carlo, which she hated to part
with; however, a brand new Trans-Am quickly changed her mind.
With that car, she developed a love for cars with “umph.”
She notes that out of all of the cars that she has owned,
none have matched the Z or even come close. Even after a year
of ownership, getting in her TJ is still a rush for her.
Cathy
was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, PA and
works in Hospital Administration. She shares her home with
her 6 year-old male Doberman, Valentino, who is a retired
show dog, and her husband Keith. She enjoys reading, horseback
riding, target shooting, shopping (which she describes as
a serious sport), and trips to Florida and the Outer Banks,
NC.
Cathy
is very thankful to have met her Z Chickz friends, and in
particular would like to thank her friend and mentor, Pat
McCall, for all of his help and guidance with TJ.
